Armatex RSR

Armatex® RSR geocomposites are made by rashel technology - knotting. It is a fix connection of knitted geogrid made of high tenacity PET yarns and nonwoven PET or PP geotextile (standardly 60g/m2, can varry, depand depand on the market and needs of the costomer). Kordárna Company is capable of designing and manufacturing product precisely as per requirements. The values given are indicative and correspond to average results obtained in our laboratories and in testing institutes. The right is reserved to make changes without notice at any time.

The product was tested in the German laboratory tBU Greven and TZÚ Brno.

There are 2 types of Armatex® RSR geokomposites:

• for reinforcement of asphalt pavements 
• for soil reinforcement, separation and filtration

Description:
geocomposite of a knitted PET geogrid and nonwoven PP geotextile for reinforcement of asphalt pavements

Main applications:

• constructing new roads and repairing damaged sections of asphalt surfaces of roads, motorways, parking, airport surfaces and access ways (e.g. to industrial areas, production and storage halls and shopping centres)
• expanding thoroughfares and road lanes
• asphalt reinforcing at locations subject to intensive vehicle braking or accelerating - important junctions, bus stops etc.

Advantages:

• considerably lengthens the durability of asphalt layers in road surfaces
• significantly reduces the occurrence of cracks
• reduces the formation of ruts in areas of high traffic loading
• the construction of the geocomposite guarantees optimum adhesion with the asphalt layers
• the product's white colour guarantees the transparency of its penetration into the asphalt mixture
• material resistance to the temperature till 220°C
• easy installation without the necessity of fixation to surface by means of fixating nails
• high resistance to damage during installation
• working diagram of bitumen compound is similar to working diagram of polyester
• similar material characteristic of geocomposite and bitumen enable entrance of composite material
