Kortex PEC
Kortex® PEC is geocomposite woven geotextile made of high strength PET fibre and non-woven PET or PP geotextile. It combines the advantages of high-strength reinforced woven geotextile with the filtration, drainage and protective properties of non-woven geotextile.
Technical data:
Material:
Polyester, Polypropylen
Description:
geocomposite woven and non-woven geotextile
Main application:
- reinforcing embankments of road, car parks, railways and airports
- embankments on piles
- reinforcement of fillings and soils, industrial areas, halls and shopping centres
- retaining walls
- landslides repairing
- the stabilisation of sea, river and reservoir banks
- the reinforcement of any type of unstable foundation
Advantages of use:
- suitable for reinforcement of fine-grained soil
- further reinforcement works as a separator and filter
- high tensile strength at low elongation
- high level of microbiological resistance
- high resistance to damage during installation
- low values of creep ensure long-term stability
- increases the safety and stability of embankments
- reduces volume of earthworks
- preserve natural appearance of slopes
- easy construction even in wintertime
- cuts the construction costs and time
- unambiguous optimization of financial costs of construction implementation
Usage:
Kortex® PEC finds its application everywhere where it is necessary to link the reinforcement function with filtration, separation, protective or drainage functions.
Owing to the suitable properties of the geocomposite, during construction it is possible to use cohesion layers with a higher volume of water. Kortex® PEC works as a drain and speeds up consolidation. Used in construction it offers time and financial savings because it is possible to use local or less suitable soil. When using Kortex® PEC, its excellent hydraulic properties, enable the effective dispersion of porous pressure because it increases stability, and the consolidation of the ground body is accelerated.
Non-woven textile contributes to the protection of reinforced fibres against mechanical damage during installation. The design of the reinforcement can be more economical.
Kortex® PEC also provides advantages in terms of the constraints for the separation of construction layers - load-bearing gravel layers from soft, fine-aggregate soil with low load-bearing properties. The Kortex® PEC construction prevents the migration of fine particles of soil between the layers and therefore contributes to the long-term stability of the multi-layer construction during the construction on beds with a low load-bearing capacity.
The Kortex® PEC composite is produced from woven geotextile made of high-strength PET fibre and non-woven PET or PP geotextile with a surface density of 80 g/m2.
