The heyday of the Horňácko region
Kordárna became the guarantee for the definitive living standard for families in the Horňácko region. It selected the best specialists from the surrounding area and educated 'cord' experts to the European level and gradually developed its own know-how.
There was production on ring twining machines; new Barmag twining machines were installed along with Stains two-for-one twisters. The operation of the weaving mill was modernised by using Czech-made Utas weaving looms with yarn-roll weaving technology. The second half of this deca
de was characterised by the termination of impregnation on weaving looms and the start of a new era of impregnation, stabilisation and stretching. A mixing unit for solutions was built, and the first SACM stretching line was commissioned. The production program was expanded to include segels for transport belts in the new production hall and the production of tapping rubber and cords for V-belts.
The production reached a volume of 11,000 tons and the increasing prosperity was reflected in the increase in the number of employees in this period to 1,168.
