History - 1970-1980
Large construction
The development of the car industry and the widespread construction of rubber tyre factories in the former Czechoslovakia required new reinforcement materials. This period was characterised by the rapid increase in the demand for high-strength polyamide cords, and Kordárna became the monopoly producer in Czechoslovakia.
The wide-ranging construction of new air-conditioned production units equipped with new types of Czech-produced ring twisting
machines and weaving looms began. At the turn of the decade, two new production halls were coming into operation and these were equipped with new technology: crane manipulation was introduced which removed physical hard work and introduced elements of automation and control. The second SACM stretching line was constructed.
In this period production reached the level of 18,000 tons with 1,200 employees.
