The largest cord plant in Europe

The improvement of high-strength cords continued, and new technologies for the production of knot-free cords were introduced. Experts from Kordárna cooperated in the development of the Czechoslovak JETT jet looms, which gradually replaced the Utas lower-performance machines.

There was an increase in pressure for the improvement of the quality control system as a comprehensive approach to quality. The new SACM stretching line was commissioned which was particularly used for high-strength cords; at the same time, the control and regulation systems for the stretching lines were modernised.

Production reached 21,000 tons with 1,300 employees.
