History - 1990-2000
Enterprise managed by clients
After the political and economic changes in Czechoslovakia in 1988 and 1990, the existing markets disintegrated and production significantly decreased. After privatisation of the enterprise in 1994, the new owners brought the strategy of modernisation of the technological, technical and personnel areas. The whole plant was interconnected with a computer network which enabled the rigorous inspection of the production process. The Product Development Department systematically worked on new types of products, in particular polyester cords and geotextiles. The high point in our efforts to achieve maximum quality of products was in 1996 when we received the Quality Control System Certificate according to the ISO 9001 standard. After privatisation, the new owners of Kordárna immediately stated their clear vision and strategy which was to be ranked among the leading global companies in the area of production of reinforced cords and technical fabrics. Our position on the market is based on the full satisfaction of clients, who see the constantly improving quality of our products and services.

Massive resources were thoughtfully invested in the modernisation of technological equipment in all the production units, resulting in a permanent improvement in quality aided by the quality control system. New laboratories were constructed, as well as a mixing plant for solutions and a line for the impregnation of technical fabrics. Large funds were invested in the strengthening of the company culture, the care and education of employees and the improvement of the working environment. There was a consistent outsourcing of all activities which did not directly relate to the production enterprise.
